 Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Is it rude to fall asleep during my massage?

Falling asleep on the table is a compliment! It means a. you feel safe b. you trust me c. it’s your massage and if your body needs rest, than your body needs rest! You may be unable to receive it outside of the treatment room. It’s your session, use the time however you choose.

  • What are your sanitation practices?

Before the pandemic, during and presently, I have always wiped down all surfaces after each client with a medical grade disinfectant. I will also have hand sanitizer in the room for guests and myself to use before and after the session and have always washed my hands and forearms before and after each session to ensure cleanliness.

There is a restroom right outside if you need to use it.

  • How long is a session length?

You get a full 60 minutes or 90 minutes. No time is taken off to discuss your health history or undress/redress. That is why I request you arrive 5-10 minutes before your massage.

  • Should I tip you?

Gratuities are not mandatory as I have worked them into my new pricing structure. Please tip your therapist if you’re going to a spa or larger practice as they only get a percentage of the service paid for.

    20% gratuity is customary.

  • What should I wear or not wear on the massage table?

After we’ve spoken about your goals, I will leave the room so you can get settled onto the table in between the linens so you’re covered. Whether you choose to wear a bra and/or undergarments is totally up to you, it does not affect the quality of your massage. You will be draped modestly as I work on one specific body part at a time.

It’s also best you leave your jewelry at home or in a safe place so it’s easier for me to work your areas of focus. Earrings and rings are okay!

  • When shouldn’t I get a massage?

If you’re feeling unwell, PLEASE reschedule. Getting a massage while sick or with the flu can actually make the symptoms worse. Your body knows how to heal without me spreading symptoms elsewhere by moving lymphatic fluid throughout the body. Plus, we both want to feel our best.

Please reschedule your appointment when you’re feeling better.
